ON COMPOUNDING
Wealth is built in silence, not in noise.
We chase the thrill: the quick flip, the fast double. And yet the quietest force in all of this is the one we keep forgetting, which is time. Small and regular, held for years, beats brilliant and impatient almost every time. That is not a slogan. It is arithmetic doing its patient work in the background while everyone else is shouting.
"Get rich slowly but surely" is the oldest line I know, and I'll be honest: I still struggle with the slowly. Emotions chase thrill, and thrill is never slow. So I remind myself to stay in the game long enough for the odds to favour me, and to let time do the thing only time can do.
